Dr.-Ing. Emersleben (Doctor of Engineering) was born on 8th February, 1977 at Braunschweig (Brunswick) in Germany. He accomplished his geotechnical studies with main focus on special foundation and tunnel engineering at the Technical University of Clausthal. Subsequently, from 2004 up until 2009, Dr.-Ing. Emersleben was research assistant at the Institute for Geotechnics and Mine Surveying, Geotechnical Department at the Technical University of Clausthal. At the end of 2009, he wrote his doctorate thesis as to "Load transfer behavior of geocells for stabilizing mineral base and subbase layers under static and dynamic loads." Since 2010, Dr.-Ing. Emersleben is Chief Engineer at the Geotechnical Department at Clausthal University of Technology. In the same year, he founded the engineering office UNDERyourfeet, which was changed into a limited corporation in 2016.

Dr.-Ing. Emersleben is Managing Associate Partner of UNDERyourfeet Geotchnical Engineering GmbH.
